About Gainesville Pet Rescue
Gainesville Pet Rescue, Inc. (GPR) is a not for profit organization that strives to match pets and people for a lifetime. All animals that are rescued and taken into our program are guaranteed a home regardless of the length of time they may have to stay in our foster care program. Since its inception in 1993, thousands of animals have been placed into loving, permanent homes.
GPR continuously pushes forward to meet our counties goal of ending euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals. We are proud and honored to launch the GPR Community Cat Initiative in partnership with Alachua County Animal Services to create a successful feral cat spay/neuter program.
Gainesville Pet Rescue is proud to be a member and the lead agency for Maddie’s Pet Rescue project in Alachua County. We are working closely with our partner organizations to achieve a sustainable no-kill community.
Maddie’s Fund® is a family foundation endowed by the founder of Workday® and PeopleSoft, Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl. Maddie’s Fund is helping to achieve and sustain a no-kill nation by providing solutions to the most challenging issues facing the animal welfare community through its grant giving, hands-on animal care, and research and education.

We are so pleased to have been chosen as a grant recipient for the Florida Animal Friend annual grant award. With this help, we will be able to provide low cost spay and neuter services to hundreds of animals, and stop the problem of overpopulation! Thank you so much!
Help us save them too! Purchase a Florida Animal Friend Spay and Neuter license plate TODAY, so that other organizations across the state of Florida can make a difference too!
